Ecstatic Kirtan w/Daniel Stewart & Friends

  • Rogue Valley Yoga 1355 East Main St Ashland United States (map)

RVY is thrilled to host Daniel Stewart from Los Angeles, CA for this rare and ecstatic evening of Kirtan. Kirtan is a straight shot practice to relax ego consciousness, deepening the alignment with our inner life and creative source. We sing to open our hearts and literally realign our energy with the higher experience of transcendent consciousness, love and bliss… No experience necessary. Just bring your open heart.

You are invited to stay after the music for potluck refreshments, a casual Q&A w/Daniel and community hang time

"We meditate, we practice yoga, we sing in the shower, in the car, and in the yoga room, in order to quiet our minds and return to a joyful, feeling of oneness.  We know in our hearts  that our happiness isn’t reliant on our name, our job, or the lists we need to finish.  We can sense that our singing is a call to our soul; a reminder of our limitless connection to the eternal, and a celebration of the love that flows in all of us.”--Daniel

About Daniel:

Daniel Stewart is a beloved yoga and meditation teacher, co-founder of Rising Lotus Yoga in Sherman Oaks, and an holistic Mind/Body psychotherapist.

In dynamic classes, workshops and retreats, Daniel integrates music, eastern philosophy, depth psychology, poetry, and laughter to create vibrant, healing environments where students quiet their minds, find physical release, and rediscover a deep sense of wellbeing and joy.

He shares his love of music and its healing and transformational power through the art and practice of Kirtan.

Daniel's Kirtan brings a unique blend of rocking western soul and jazz-style improvisation to authentic Sanskrit mantras. He is known for his joyful, ecstatic singing and for the playful commentary on Self-realization and consciousness that he weaves throughout.

The numinous connection he feels singing is evident in the Bhakti energy that grows in the room and the heart opening and Self-awakening often experienced by participants. He believes that together the musicians and the audience find union as they create an ecstatic experience of blissful music, deep meditation, and sweet, expansive consciousness.
